The rice terraces of Mayoyao have walls made of masonry stones. Aside from the rice terraces, Mayoyao offers plenty of other attractions such as waterfalls, burial caves and tombs, etc. To enjoy the place and its numerous attractions, an overnight stay is a must. Lodging is available at inns. Mayoyao can also be an alternative jump off or final destination when climbing Mt. Amuyao.
Travelling from Manila, two roads lead to Mayoyao. The first option is via Banaue . From Banaue, it takes 3-4 hours travel to get to Mayoyao. You could also follow what we did. From Manila, we boarded on a bus bound to Santiago, Isabela. The trip took about 8-10 hours. From Santiago, we took a minibus and travelled for half a day to Mayoyao.
